Pop of orange

Wearing: Cos sweater, Zara blouse, Zara trousers, IKKS boots, Solo Headband, Unknown bracelet.

Snow just keeps on falling here in Oslo and I'm starting to get more used to it day by day. I love to spend my weekend in Nordmarka crosscountrying, sledging, drinking hot tee and eating fresh made scones in the local cabins, enjoying the silence of the woods.

I got this bracelet for Christmas with the message that it matches our life in Norway just perfectly :). Actually, it does. The reindeer and moose skins are well presented here. Oh yes and isn't this orange Cos jumper just perfect? :).

Beauty

There have been several years where my beauty ritual consisted only of Clinique's 3 steps plan. It would only take me  minutes and I'd feel fresh and clean. I've never used much make- up but starting to work fulltime with all the down- and upsides made me want to have some basic stuff just to give my eyes or skin that extra boost in the morning after a short night of sleep. Since I discovered Shiseido's cleansing soap, I've never used Cliniques one again. Only  seconds after washing my face with Shiseido's soap, my skin feels vibrant and new. The effect is incredible. At least in my case :-).

I also bought myself Clinique's eye serum, which basically just feels fresh around my eyes and lights them up in the morning. Don't know wether it really decreases the swelling I have around my eyes every morning after just waking up but it does feel fresh. And then there is my YSL mascara, which is a good basic item to have in my opinion. Although I don't use it very often, the LancĂ´me limited edition blush is very natural and suits me perfectly. Oh yes, as you can see my favourite perfume in the whole wide world is Narcisco Rodriguez' For Her

Still searching for some extra basics to fill my beauty rack though. A daycream and a moisturizer for example, any suggestions?

Head wear

Headband Solo
 Bonnet Sfera
 Beanie CoraKemperman
Bonnet Zara

Since a week temperatures in Norway are extremely low, aproximately around -12°, which means I've become a true 'layer'- person. I'm putting on layer after layer, including wool tights and Uggs. Thereby, my ears are getting cold quickly, so I don't go outside without having something on my head. Fortunately, I love "head wear" :). Actually, I just found the mustard headband today and I think it's my favourite. Which one is yours?

Outfit: prints and colors

Wearing: Van Hassels dress, Van Hassels tights, Van Dalen boots, Zara cardigan, moroccon bag, Rue Blanche scarf.

Seeing this dress in sale made me inmediately buy it. A dress like this is really easy to combine, you already have that pop of color and a print, so just adding a big knit makes you work/party proof. I added some extra color by adding the cobalt blue tights.I've noticed that colors - also this summer - will be a big hit and I can only be happy with it. Colors give me an instant feeling of happiness.

I'm off for some skiing in Nordmarka,
Sarah.

This weekend 2 dear friends came to visit us in our new hometown: Oslo.
I made a little collage of our weekend.

What are you seeing?

2. Famous Vigelandparken with some of my favourite statues.
3. Vigeland statue: father juggling with his children.
4. Picture time!
5. One of my favourite places in Oslo: Nationaltheatret.
6. Pretty colourful friend.
7. Opera.
8. Oslo's harbour: Aker Brygge.

Outfit: skinny jeans

Wearing: Bensimon cardigan, Hope for Stockholm blouse, Lee skinny jeans, Moma booties.

First outfit post of the year in snow white Norway. Here in Oslo it is really trendy to wear skinny jeans combined with Caterpilars or Timberlands to protect themselves from the snow. Although this is absolutely not trendy in Belgium, it absolutely works in Norway and so I decided to try this skinny trend. Without the caterpilars, off course :)).

I found this Moma boots on sale, they have wool inside and are extremely comfortable.
As you can see, there is loads of snow in and around Oslo, so warm and comfy feet are an absolute must. Everytime a day passes, I love this country more and more. It already feels like home...

Favourite jewels

So, after posting one picture of our photoshoot for the new jewelry line of a Ria Lins some of you requested to see all the pictures. Here you go! Since her new collection is called "Connections", Ria had the idea to use real persons and their connections. That is how she asked my brother and I to take part in the shoot... I have always been a huge fan of her work, she uses pure and simple materials and makes everything herself. That is how every piece is unique.

At the start of the shoot, we had to choose our favourite piece and this beautiful necklace inmediately caught my eye. I mean, this could be my wedding necklace right? Then we had to admire each others jewels :). Isn't my brothers broche beautiful?

ps: it is snowing heavily in Oslo, soon there will be snow white outfitpics!
